Season 2 of ‘The Pitt’ stars Luke Tennie, Travis Van Winkle and Meta Golding

Luke Tennie, Travis Van Winkle, Meta Golding and Christopher Thornton have joined the cast of Season 2 of “The Pitt.”
Tennie (“Shrinking,” “Abbott Elementary”) plays Dr. Crus Henderson, a fourth-year resident who works the night shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
Van Winkle (“You,” “Fubar”) plays Curtis Larson, an aggressive emergency room patient.
Golding (“Rabbit Hole,” “Ransom Canyon”) plays Noelle Hastings, a nurse.
Thornton (“Magnum PI,” “The Lincoln Lawyer”) will play Dr. Playing Caleb Jefferson, a psychiatric treating physician at Pitt.
“The Pitt” follows a group of healthcare workers during an intense shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Season 1 took place on the day of a music festival, and Season 2, which premieres on January 8, is set during Independence Day Weekend. Noah Wyle stars alongside returning cast members Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Shawn Hatosy. In addition to Tennie, Winkle, Golding and Thornton, new cast members joining Season 2 include Sepideh Moafi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Lawrence Robinson, Zack Morris, Brittany Allen, Bonita Friedericy, Taylor Handley and Jeff Kober.
The series is created by R. Scott Gemmill, who executive produces alongside John Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow and Simran Baidwan. Season 1 was a hit among critics and viewers, earning five Emmys: Drama Series, Lead Actor (Wyle), Supporting Drama Actress (LaNasa), Guest Actor (Hatosy) and Drama Casting.
