“With each of those titles it requires more obstacles from the gate, because you have to join the controlling studio and ensure that rights are available, and it requires a partnership and mutual interest and coordination in the future.

“But there are a few that we are investigating now that I think I could have a great potential. By the summer I think we will know if we have some traction with them.”

In terms of what has changed to make TV adjustments such as “Alien: Earth” and “Blade Runner 2099” now, there are a change in the mindset between studios and streamers, and the lower costs of visual effects are parts of the comparison. “I would say that both the increase in expenses in television and the viability to be able to achieve something of that scale now exists in a way that it was not years ago,” says Zucker.

Scott Free used more than a dozen phases, in a number of different facilities, in Thailand, as well as locations throughout the country. “We used as much Thailand as we could open for the show,” he says.

This year has already been busy for Scott for free on TV -front, with the releases of “Dope Thief” and “Prime Target” on Apple TV+.
