Sarah Jessica Parker reacts to the death of Family Stone costar Diane Keaton

Sarah Jessica Parker she considered herself lucky to work with the late Diane Keaton not once – but twice.
“Diane Keaton has been an inspiration to countless actresses. I count myself among those who loved and admired her,” Parker, 60, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, October 12. “I had the great privilege of witnessing her exceptional skill and talent on both First Women’s Club And The family stone.”
On Saturday, October 11, news broke that Keaton died at the age of 79. The Oscar-winning actress, who is survived by her two children, played Annie Paradis in the 1996 film The First Women’s Cluba buddy comedy in which three women (Keaton, Goldie Hawn And Bette Midler) plot revenge on their exes, who leave them all for younger women. Parker appears in the film as Shelly Stewart.
Nine years later, Parker and Keaton collaborated again in 2005 The family stone. In the romantic comedy, Parker played Meredith Morton, who visits friend Everett Stone (Dermot Mulroney) family during the holidays. Keaton played matriarch Sybil Stone, who disapproved of the soon-to-be-engaged couple.
“I will also cherish those memories on set [as] her moving, delightful and perfectly individual film career, which is a beautiful legacy of an outstanding person,” Parker added in her social media tribute. “She will be terribly missed. RIP and Godspeed, you glorious creature.

“You brought out the best in me, Diane,” Mulroney wrote, alongside broken heart emojis and praying hands.

“We ended up spending more time together and having some nice dinners. It’s very helpful,” Wilson, 54, who played Ben Stone, told exclusively We weekly in 2021. “Diane – we all admired her. In my mind here is Sarah Jessica and she is this icon of fashion and humor from Sex and the city and then here is the original icon of fashion and humor: Diane. …And then Rachel McAdams was great. I just remember that they were quite exciting, where you go to dinner alone and meet all these people.’
He added: “Some of them you know and most of them you don’t, so you feel a little bit awkward when you walk in. I just remember the idea of walking away and saying, ‘These people are great! I can’t wait to work with them.'”
