Sarah Ferguson feared suicide while drinking heavily

Ferguson’s daughters, Princess Beatrice (37) and Princess Eugenie (35), are said to be deeply disturbed by their mother’s behaviour. “The girls are very concerned,” said a family source.

“They’re constantly checking in and urging her to cut down on her fluids and take care of herself. They’ve even reached out to other family members to make sure someone is always watching her.”

Sarah’s older sister, public relations manager Jane Ferguson Luedecke, recently flew from Australia to visit her in Windsor to offer her emotional support.

“Jane is doing her best to cheer her up, but Sarah just isn’t herself,” a royal source said. “She has been in tears many times and continues to say she feels stuck. She still promises to support Andrew, but deep down she knows their paths have parted – and that is really weighing on her.”

Despite her turmoil, Ferguson continues to find comfort in her two beloved corgis, Sandy and Muick, whom she adopted after she and Andrew gifted the dogs to Queen Elizabeth II before the monarch’s death. “It’s the pets that keep her grounded,” says an employee.

“That’s the only thing that really calms her down.” But when the evening comes and she is alone again in The Doghouse, all the fear and dark thoughts creep back in.’
