Saikindō Debuts at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi – A New Era of Japanese Listening Bar Culture | News

A groundbreaking new chapter Abu DhabiThe luxurious nightlife will unfold in November Saikindōa carefully crafted one HiFi cocktail lounge inspired by the famous Japanese listening bars, makes its long-awaited debut on Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island. More than just a bar opening, Saikindō signals the arrival of an entirely new genre experiential mixology in the Middle East—a true sound, design, craftsmanship and the philosophy of Omotenashi come together to create a sensory journey unlike anything the region has ever experienced.
A dialogue between sound, space and mind
At its core, Saikindō is conceived as a living conversation – between the purity of sound, the intentionality of space and the expressive art of cocktails. Each element is designed to honor the heritage of the Japanese listening bar, where music is not a background atmosphere, but a centerpiece of the experience. Guests can expect a venue crafted with precision, emotion and purpose, where the first note is as important as the first sip, and where every detail is drawn from deep Japanese cultural roots.

The bar embodies Omotenashi, the Japanese art of genuine hospitality. This means intuitive care, sincerity at every touchpoint and a sense of effortless anticipation that defines the spirit of the venue. Guests are welcomed with curated snacks, personal recommendations, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and expansive.

A world-class team and AI-powered mixology
Saikindō will be led by world-renowned Beverage Director Marco Corallo – formerly of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and London’s Artesian – and head mixologist Ann Pinsuda, previously of Bangkok’s celebrated Bamboo Bar. Together they bring Michelin-level technique and a global background to Abu Dhabi’s evolving cocktail scene.
In an innovative way, the team will use AI technology to translate sound into taste, interpreting the rhythm, tempo and mood of the music into cocktails that reflect the same emotional notes. Each drink is composed of seasonal Japanese ingredients, with both alcoholic and free-spirited variations designed to take the experience beyond the traditional.

Design born from Japanese metabolism and mid-century elegance
Architecturally, Saikindō draws from the visionary Metabolism movement, known for modular, adaptive structures. This forward-thinking inspiration meets warm mid-century craftsmanship and refined materiality: rich woods, custom acoustic details, intricately embroidered Japanese wallpaper and carefully curated furnishings.
The interior story is further elevated by a surprising design fusion: the sophistication of classic spy elegance intertwined with the bold, rebellious spirit of Japan’s Bosozoku motorcycle subculture. This duality – sharp sophistication meets bold energy – gives the space character and creates a vibrant, stylish atmosphere.
A soundscape that lives and evolves
Music is the lifeblood of Saikindō. The bar hosts vinyl takeovers, guest DJs, collector’s evenings, intimate masterclasses and Japanese spirit tastings, making every visit a new sensory chapter. Each note is composed to resonate in the bar’s custom acoustic environment, encouraging connection, contemplation and discovery.
A new monument to Abu Dhabi’s nightlife
“Bringing Saikindō to life has been an inspiring journey of creativity, collaboration and innovation. With the vision and support of our ownership and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, we have created a destination that celebrates craftsmanship, sound and connection, a first of its kind for Abu Dhabi,” said Bob Suri, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi.

The opening of Saikindō follows major accolades for the hotel, including Michelin Key recognition and highly curated event programming as it continues to redefine luxury hospitality on Al Maryah Island.
With its evocative blend of Japanese culture, cutting-edge mixology, immersive sound and exquisite design, Saikindō is poised to become one of the most attractive new destinations in the region: a haven for cocktail connoisseurs, music lovers and seekers of refined, contemporary Japanese artistry.
