Ryan Sheckler is getting ready to celebrate a big milestone – six years of sobriety – and he’s telling TMZ Sports He’s been doing so much better since he gave up booze.
The skateboarding legend gave us a life update at LAX this week…and he raved about the down-to-earth lifestyle.
He said it has helped him in all areas, including his administration.
“I’m going to Paris now to go skating,” he told us. “I thought I was done competing. And now I skate better than ever.”

Sheckler — who is now a husband and father of two — explained that he decided to give up alcohol on March 30, 2020… after saying it was impacting his loved ones.
“I didn’t just hurt myself,” he told us. “I was hurting the people around me. I think once I got a handle on it, hurting people who really care about me, I couldn’t deal with it anymore.”
Sheckler went on to say, “There is nothing better” than the way he is currently operating.
The 35-year-old also chatted with us about one of the new projects he is working on: a film titled “Dream.”
