Russell -brand accused of rape by the London police

Russell Brand is accused of rape, indecent abuse and sexual violence by the metropolitan police of London.
The charges relate to four separate women and incidents that took place between 1999 and 2005.
According to the police, the comedian and actor have been interviewed several times since a major investigation by The Sunday Times, De Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches in September 2023 have revealed several serious accusations against him.
The 50-year-old has previously denied the allegations.
“The women who have made reports continue to receive support from specially trained officers,” said Detective head inspector Andy Furphy, who leads the research. “The investigation of the with remains open and detectives ask everyone who has been struck by this case, or someone who has information, to come forward and talk to the police.”
Brand, which is usually located in the US in recent years, will now appear on 2 May in the Westminster Magistrates Court in London.
