Royals named after Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip
Princess Beatrice Welcomed her second child in January 2025 – and the name of the baby seemed to have a sweet nod Queen Elizabeth II.
Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozziannounced the birth of their daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi on January 29.
Beatrice and Edoardo also gave the middle name Elizabeth to their oldest daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who was born on September 18, 2021.
It has become a trend for members of the royal family to name their latest arrivals after the deceased queen or her husband, Prince Philip. (Philip died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99, while the queen died on 8 September 2022, at the age of 96.)

Anne had a close relationship with the deceased queen. After the death of her mother on 8 September 2022, she traveled with the coffin of the prince from Balmoral, Scotland, to Edinburgh before she traveled to London, England, the last resting place of the queen.
