Royal staff exposed Andrew Windsor’s physical and psychological crisis

Windsor is set to move from his palatial $40 million Royal Lodge home to the much more modest Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in early 2026 – and insiders say this will only reinforce his isolation.
The simple, brick property, while substantial, lacks the amenities of Royal Lodge and will require security upgrades and a major renovation, sources say.
“He is reluctant to leave Royal Lodge,” said a royal aide. “He’s dragging himself along, hoping that the whole thing will somehow go away.”
Royal observers note that Windsor’s former lifestyle, including social dinners, London clubs and public appearances, is long behind him.
Friends who still keep in touch describe him as “a survivor” but warn that he can only “keep his head above water” as he has no job.
“If he were to experience any other pressures in his life, such as holding down a job like a normal human being, the feeling is that it would force him into a total mental breakdown,” the source said.
