Rory McIlroy’s wife Erica Stoll praised by teammates after abuse by Ryder Cup

Rory Mcilroy‘S Team Europe teammates came to defend his wife, Erica StollAfter she was condemned by American Golffans at the Ryder Cup.
Golfer Justin Rose Reporters told that he did not know that Stoll, 38, was hit by a beer thrown by a fan at the raw event, which emphasizes how composed Erica was during the test.
“I actually had no idea that Erica had thrown a beer yesterday,” said Rose, 45, on Sunday 28 September, just after Team Euro Team defeated USA in the dramatic competition. “So Fair Play to Erica, she didn’t bring that to the team room. We didn’t make that bad.
Rose added: “That says a lot about the power of Erica and everyone in this team today.”
Team Europe’s Shane Lowry went one step further and applauded the way in which Stoll was strong despite the ruthless crowd of Heckling.
“I was there for two days with Erica and the amount of abuse she received was amazing,” Deated Lowry, a good friend of McIlroy’s. “The way she was there to support her husband and support her team was incredible and a plume for her. Go for that. Go on Erica.”
McIlroy, 36, also ensured that he praised his wife in the aftermath of the behavior of American fans.
“Erica is fine, she is a very strong woman,” McIlroy told reporters. “She treated everything with class and dignity as she has always done and I love her. We will like to celebrate tonight.”

At one point he broke back and told the crowd to “close the f ***.”
“For me, come to support your team,” McIlroy continued. ‘If I was an American, I would be irritated for people to act like that. I didn’t hear much shouting for scottie [Scheffler] Today. I heard a lot of shouting against me. Support your players. “
The four -time big champion added that, despite the hostility, he felt the performance of Europe silent critics.
“I don’t think we’ll ever accept that in Golf,” said McIlroy. “I think golf should be held on a higher standard than what has been seen this week. Golf teaches you how to respect people. Sometimes we have not seen this week. This should not be acceptable with the Ryder Cup. What happened here this week is not acceptable. It was a tough week for all of us, but we are closed by our performance and how we played.”
Europe defeated the United States 15–13 and provided the seventh Ryder Cup victory of McIlroy.
McIlroy later acknowledged that the abuse pushed him out of his comfort zone, but praised the reaction of him and the team.
“It has come a few times,” said McIlroy. “We tried to tackle everything that our way came with class and balance and for the most part I had the feeling that we did.”
