New York Magazine released a statement confirming that its correspondent was in Washington Olivia Nuzzi “acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had had a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign. Nuzzi also issued her own statement Statuswhich described “some communications” becoming personal earlier this year.
She continued: “During that time I did not report directly on the subject or use them as a source. The relationship was never physical, but should have been made public to avoid the appearance of a conflict. I deeply regret not doing this immediately and apologize to those I have disappointed, especially my colleagues at New York.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Kennedy Jr.’s camp said New York Post that reporter Kennedy Jr. via text message after she became “obsessed” with the politician following an interview in California. Nuzzi’s representatives denied the claims.
