A Thai road worker was buried alive when the street he worked on, collapsed at him, so he was stuck under the foot of dirt and debris.
Watch the scary video – the colleagues of the man notice the edge of the hole that they started to break in Chiang Mai … but their warnings did not come fast enough. The man gets trapped as he tries to clamber away and his colleagues jump into action to save him.
They immediately use the excavator to quickly remove the dirt – heavier out of the rain – and dig in with kicking and their hands as soon as they save the man closer, who seems to have been saved unconscious.
The rapid action of the employees has paid off – they were miraculously able to save the man alive and to get him medical help.
The crew had dug under the road to install a new pipe when they were in the scary situation.
Close call … but a happy result for all involved.
