RIU Hotels closes 2025 with the reopening of Riu Jalisco after a complete renovation | News
RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the doors of the iconic Riu Jalisco hotel, located in Riviera Nayarit, following the completion of an ambitious renovation project. The establishment has undergone an extensive transformation to add a variety of new dining options, as well as create a special area for the youngest members of the family, including a splash pad with slides. In parallel with the renovation, work was carried out to expand the hotel and add 120 rooms in a newly built area.
The Riu Jalisco now has a total of 820 fully renovated, modern and bright rooms. In addition, the hotel now offers a new room type with capacity for up to six guests, a great option for larger families.
Riu Jalisco’s outdoor areas have been completely redesigned. The hotel has a total of six swimming pools, two of which are especially for children with games and slides and four that the whole family can enjoy. The family pools are all newly built along the coast. The largest has a bar service and the second features a swim-up bar, while the remaining two are designed for relaxation and sporting activities respectively. In addition, children can have even more fun than before with the addition of a new play area with a splash pad that promises hours of safe play for the little ones, who can also enjoy the renovated RiuLand area.
The hotel expansion not only houses the new Sports Bar, but also two concepts that RIU adds to all renovated and new hotels: the American Country restaurant, where guests can enjoy a selection of classic American dishes, and the Candy ice cream parlor. These additions complement the hotel’s extensive range of dining options, including the Don Gabriel buffet restaurant and four specialty restaurants: the Steak House, Sakura Asian Restaurant, Agave Mexican Restaurant and Duomo Italian Restaurant. There are also two more casual dining options, the Pepe’s Food grilling station and the Tiki Taco taco stand. Including the ice cream parlor and the Sports Bar, the hotel has a total of eight bars.
In terms of entertainment, guests can continue to enjoy the RIU Party events held every Friday at the hotel, with shows and a unique atmosphere guaranteed to provide fun for the whole family.
