‘Resident Alien’ canceled before season 4 final

“Resident Alien” has been canceled at USA Network, Variety confirms. Three episodes of the fourth season of the show will still be broadcast.
The SCI-Fi series debuted for the first time in 2021 on Syfy but moved to the US after three seasons. “Resident Alien” premiered on his second network in June with the start of season 4. The fate of the series has already been decided, but US will broadcast the last three episodes on their originally planned dates in the coming weeks.
“I knew that I was going to be that this would probably be our last season,” said Series and Showrunner Chris Sheridan TV Insiderwho first reported on the end of “Resident Alien”. “That was creative because I knew that we could spend the time closing a number of storylines and driving to an end. I am so proud of how good season 4 is and especially proud that we could end up as strongly as we did, with a final that is probably my favorite episode of the series.”
Sheridan also promised that the final of season 4 gives the series “a very satisfying end, while the door also remains open for every future that this world can have. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Alan Tudyk plays in “Resident Alien” as an alien who has run down on our planet with a mission to eradicate humanity. But after stealing the identity of a doctor of a small city, he starts to develop an affinity for earthlings. The cast also includes Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Judah Prehn and Meredith Garretson.
“Resident Alien” will be broadcast on the US on Friday, with new episodes available to stream on Peacock a week later. The serial final is planned for 8 August.
