Regional sports outlet YES has plans for an animated series for children
Regional sports network YES hopes young Yankees fans will love meeting the Bronx Buds.
The regional sports network, backed by the likes of Yankee Global Enterprises, Diamond Sports Group and Amazon, will dip its business toes into animation when it debuts a new baseball-themed animated series called “HexClad Presents Bronx Buds” on Saturday mornings starting in August. 17. The series follows a youth team from the Bronx called The Pinstripes. JA’s main draw is the broadcasts of games with the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets.
The series will be available to registered YES App users in YES’ regional coverage area, which includes New York State, Connecticut, northern and central New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as to subscribers of the YES national feed throughout country that has the JA App.
Each character from the series – including Riv, Bash and Oscar – will be voiced by members of production company Tzero Studios, including co-founders Justin Shenkarow and Tom Borowski. Members of Tzero Studios working on this new YES App series have also worked on shows like “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Hey Arnold!”
Each episode is approximately seven minutes long and new episodes premiere on the YES app on Saturday mornings. Viewers can expect a new storyline in each episode as The Pinstripes rely on teamwork and friendship to overcome the challenges of elementary and youth sports.
