After months of begging the police to arrest him – yes, you heard that right! – Chicago rapper Adam Killa finally got his wish this week… sort of.
Chicago police officers handcuffed and arrested Killa on Monday after he intervened at a police traffic stop downtown, telling police to arrest me, dad, police said. Chicago Sun Times. Killa was reportedly placed in a police vehicle for 20 minutes before being released without charge. Then he jumped further Instagram and posted a video of his arrest.
The backstory about Killa – whose real name is Adam Kelly – should come as no surprise. In recent months, Killa has been filmed walking up to police, leaning over with his butt sticking out, and demanding to be arrested with his usual line: “Arrest me, daddy.” He also clasps his hands and sometimes does a dance in the videos, which have gone viral.
A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department confirmed to TMZ … Killa was not arrested Monday … but police have written an investigative stop report, which we requested.
