Purdue’s Mascotte – De Boilermaker Special – was involved on Thursday in an accident that claimed one life and placed two people in the hospital … according to several reports.
The boiler maker Special looks like a locomotive, but it is actually a truck that is adjusted to look like a steam locomotive from the Victorian era.
The fatal crash took place on Highway US 52 in Tippecanoe County … and images of the wreck shows a mutilated mess.
Purdue’s Boilermaker Special was involved in a deadly crash on Thursday afternoon.
Delegates believe that the university mascot had a “possible tire disorders” when it crossed the center line and hit a car.

Two people who drove in the Boilermaker Special were admitted to the hospital and then fired … but the person in the other vehicle died as a result of the crash.
Legal enforcement says that the boiler maker Special seems to have had a possible tire disorders and crossed the center line, which crashed against the other car frontally.
The victim here still has to be identified.
