Princess Kate Middleton has made two non-negotiable arrangements for Prince George’s nanny

Princess Kate has drawn two clear red lines when it comes to Prince George’s upbringing. She insists on handling key moments in her eldest son’s life personally, despite employing one of the most elite nannies in Britain, sources close to the royal family say. RadarOnline.com.

Catherine, 44, shares three children with Prince William, 43, and has relied on their highly educated Norland nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, since 2014, who was recently awarded a Royal Victorian Medal (Silver) in the New Year Honors for her services.

Yet insiders say Kate has made it clear there are two parenting duties she will not delegate when it comes to George, 12, the daily school run and attending his sporting matches as both are considered crucial in shaping the future king.

Kate is said to have put the ‘non-negotiables’ on her nanny when it comes to caring for George, as she feels intense pressure to ‘get it right’ with the young royal as his fate in the line of succession becomes clearer.

One source said the princess believes her visibility and presence in his life are “essential” in making him a “royal gentleman and diplomat.”

The insider added: “Catherine is determined to let George know that she is present in the everyday moments, especially at the start and end of the school day.

“According to her, routine and reliability outweigh royal formality.”

Another palace source added: “By being on the sidelines at George’s sporting events, Karte is teaching him that responsibility and family life can coexist.”

George attends Lambrook School near the family home at Forest Lodge in Windsor, along with his siblings Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

He is expected to start secondary school soon, with Eton College and Marlborough College widely cited as frontrunners.

The family moved to Windsor in 2022 and from Adelaide Cottage to Forest Lodge in late 2025, a change that made school life more discreet but no less routine.

Normally such logistics would be in the hands of the sitter.

A previous royal host told us: ‘An important part of the role is managing school collections and co-ordinating the different schedules associated with clubs and sports.

“It also means making sure children start the day well fed and arrive with the right uniform or kit.”

The fact that Kate is taking on these tasks is therefore an important change in the royal family. Kate has been spotted several times delivering school to her children herself.

In 2022, she and William were photographed on their first day at Lambrook, smiling as they walked George and Louis through the gate.

A palace source said this visibility is intentional, adding: “Kate is keen for her children to have everyday experiences despite the extraordinary circumstances surrounding their lives.”

Meal planning is another area that Kate remains closely involved in, even though it is usually a babysitting responsibility.

Our palace mole said: ‘Kate wants to do well when it comes to George’s mental state.

“She sees being in his life as an everyday, stabilizing influence amid all the glamour, as a way to make him as down-to-earth as his future royal father when it comes to acting on the world stage and dealing with world leaders.
