Prince William’s fight to strip Harry and Meghan from Royal Titles

Fresh controversy about Harry and Markle’s constant use of their Sussex title started in May after Markle, 43, was seen. Her royal highness (HRH) Title included in a Privéenot with a gift band Shared in a video of her friend, It Cosmetics founder Jamie Kern Lima.

This, in addition to a message from the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko who appealed to her as an HRH in an Instagram post, led to renewed control over why Meghan and Prince Harry, 40, still retained the HRH stiffs that they were not in public in January 2020.

Under their agreement, at the time with Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex saved their HRH titles, but it was forbidden to use them for commercial purposes.

In a palace statement, it was released in 2020: “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles because they are no longer working members of the royal family.”

However, Markle’s gift voucher was controlled in a private capacity and not as part of a commercial enterprise – which means that according to constitutional experts it did not violate the agreement.

Nevertheless, sources close to William, 42, say that the Prince of Wales has been angry by what he sees as a violation of Royal Decorum.

“William sees this as another kick in the teeth,” said an insider – adding: “It may not have come down to a formal infringement, but he hates the way in which the couple continues to benefit from a title that they have given them by a family they chose not to be part of and the way they behave as a royal in America.”
