Prince Harry proves he’s a true Angeleno as he cheers on the LA Dodgers in the World Series

Prince Harry has strengthened its commitment to life in sunny Los Angeles by supporting one of the city’s most successful sports teams and proudly cheering on its fans LA Dodgers in Game 4 of the World Series.

Harry, 41, wore his fandom with pride, donning a Dodgers baseball cap as he and his wife, Meghan Marklesaw the team lose to the Toronto blue jaysa defeat that tied the series 2–2.

The Sussexes were given the full VIP treatment at the sporting event, where they sat in the front row, just behind the pitch clock, as sporting legends like Magic Johnson And Sandy Koufax were deposited with the second set of seats.

Footage showed Harry and Meghan, 44, cheering and clapping for the Los Angeles team, led by star pitcher Shohei Ohtaniwhile the MLB official X account proudly noted that there was “royalty in the front row” at the big event.

The World Series game marks the latest in a series of major pop culture events the couple has attended in recent months – with Meghan revealing in May that the duo had secured VIP seats at the music icon Beyonce‘s Cowboy Carter tour in LA

However, their surprise performance in Game 4 also drew some backlash, especially from critics in Canada, who lambasted the couple for showing support for the Dodgers instead of the Toronto team.

Harry and Meghan both have strong ties to the Canadian city, which some accuse them of neglecting by championing the Californian team.

When she met Harry, Meghan was living in Toronto, where she was filming the legal drama “Suits,” in which she played Rachel Zane, a role she held for six years before leaving the show to marry into the British royal family.

During that time, Meghan lived in the upscale Seaton Village neighborhood in a charming rental home that sold for $1.4 million in September 2024, seven years after she left it.

Meanwhile, Harry’s ties to Canada go even deeper. The country is part of the Commonwealth, meaning it recognizes the British monarch – currently Harry’s father. King Charlesis the head of state – despite remaining completely independent as a country.

Over the years, the father of two has maintained strong ties to Canada, even serving as a host two of its Invictus Games in the country, first in Toronto in 2017, then in Vancouver and Whistler in February this year.

The couple also briefly lived together in Canada after quitting their roles as senior working royals in early 2020, when they temporarily moved to a historic mansion on Vancouver Island.

However, when it came to establishing a permanent home base for their family, the Sussexes returned to Meghan’s home state of California, where she was born and raised — though they opted not to live in Los Angeles and settled in the tony Santa Barbara community of Montecito.

The duo bought a massive Mediterranean-style mansion there in 2020 for $14.65 million after finding the property online.

“We were searching in this area and this house kept popping up in searches online,” Meghan told The Cut of their house hunting process during a 2022 interview.

Interestingly, Meghan admitted that she and Harry were initially concerned that they wouldn’t be able to afford the house, noting that they were both unemployed at the time.

“We didn’t have a job, so we just weren’t going to come see this house. That wasn’t possible,” she said. “It’s like when I was younger and you were shopping – it’s like, ‘I don’t feel like looking at all the things I can’t afford – that doesn’t feel right.'”

However, her fascination with the nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom estate won out and they went to view the house in person – with Meghan revealing they fell in love with it before they even set foot inside.

“One of the first things my husband saw when we walked through the house were those two palm trees,” she remembers. “We did everything we could to get this house.”

The couple has fully embraced the California lifestyle in recent years, as they turned their mansion into a retreat for themselves and their two children. Archie6, and Lilibet4.

Meghan has previously spoken out about the importance of her home as a “safe haven” for her children, as she revealed why she refused to film her Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ on the property.

“I wanted to protect that safe haven,” she told People. “We are a close family and I love those moments: Lili taking a nap, having lunch together, spending sacred time together at the end of the day.

“In our kitchen, mom just cooks for the family, and with a team of more than 80 people, that’s a lot of people to have in the house!”

The mother of two shed more light on the family’s home routine during an intimate chat with the former sorority earlier this month Courtney Adamo.

Meghan and Courtney — who met during their freshman year at Northwestern University — sat together at an event titled “Compare Notes on Creating a Home That’s Filled With Joy,” held at the Godmothers bookstore in Summerland, CA, on October 23.

During the event, which was held to celebrate the release of Courtney’s book, “The Family Home: Inspiring Ideas for a Home Filled With Joy,” Meghan talked about the rituals she and Harry have implemented in their home, starting with filling the property with music early in the morning.

“The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is turn on the music in the house,” she noted.

Meghan revealed that the family also shares a daily “rose and thorn,” detailing one positive and one negative experience from the entire day, and admits that her daughter, Lilibet, is especially fond of this routine.

“Our daughter is four, she has a very strong personality and she is incredible,” says Meghan. “And now she’s at a moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and your thorn?’ And she says, ‘My day was just wonderful.'”

However, if the kids aren’t feeling their best, the Sussexes have a specific home item on hand to cheer them up: a “healing blanket” gifted to the family by the founder of the Godmothers bookstore. Victoria Jackson.

When it comes to welcoming guests into her home, Meghan has several guest traditions that she has adopted in an effort to make people feel as comfortable as possible. She notes that she regularly enters her house barefoot, even when people are visiting.

“It undoes the mysteries,” she said, adding that she also usually opens the door wearing an apron. “People come in and say, ‘Oh, she’s in this with me.’ And what are they attracted to? Your kitchen. They come right in and suddenly everyone is a little softer.”

Instead of offering guests a cup of tea or coffee, Meghan noted that she usually has a hot cider or hot toddy on the stove, which she invites people to serve themselves.

“I like that people can help themselves and that there are things on the stove that everyone can help themselves to,” she explained.

The final feature of Meghan’s home hosting setup is of course music, which she says she “always has on in the background.”

All these rituals have made the family feel so comfortable at home that the As Ever founder admitted she rarely leaves the house without taking a little piece of it with her.

“I always travel with a candle,” she explained. “I’m so aware and sensitive to smell, and I associate that with home.”
