Poorna Jagannathan, Gary Carr jet Apple’s Lars Kepler Joea Linna Show

Poorna Jagannathan and Gary Carr are cast in Apple TV +’s upcoming adjustment of the book series’ Joea Linna’ by Lars Keppler.

By the official description, the series “Tells the Story of Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), an ex-soldier Turned homicide Detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in western pennsylvania for a quick lif Attack from the diabolically Cunning Serial Killer Jurek Walter (Stephen Graham), Jonah Must All That Hee Houds. When the desperate search for Jonah for his adopted daughter FBI agent Saga Beetz)

Carr (“Genius: MLK/X”, “The Perifere,” “21 Bridges”), Nathan, a forensic researcher who is dedicated to Jonah but reconciled with his feelings for Saga. Jagannathan (“Deli Boys”, “Lanterns”, “Wolfs”) plays, Quinn, an FBI agent from DC who has to lean on Jonah to navigate through the close small town as an outside while she is dealing with her own personal struggle for life.

Jagannathan is being reputed by Gersh, titless and Hansen Jacobson Teller. Carr is being reputed by anonymous content, CAA and Markham, Froggatt & Irwin.

Together with Schreiber, Graham and Beetz, they join previously announced cast members Bill Camp, Rory Culkin and Chrissy Metz.

Lars Kepler is the pseudonym of men and female -duo Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril. Their series ‘Joea Linna’, originally published in Swedish, started in 2009, with the 10th and most recent debut in 2024.

Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin show the adjustment, where Tim van Patten directs the first two episodes. Executive producers are Joffe, Hlavin, Van Patten, The Ahndorils, Schreiber, Beetz via her sleepy Poppy Banner, Oystein Karlsen, David Rysdahl, Dorothy Fortenberry and Niclas Salomonsson. Julie Herrin serves as a co-executive producer. A+E Studios produces the series in collaboration with Range Studios, with the production that starts this summer in Pittsburgh.
