Plimsoll -Pricking. Launches digital division, managed by Ged Mansfield

Plimsoll Productions, a part of ITV Studios, has launched Plimsoll Digital – a new digital divsia that is run by Oude Plimsoll -execen Mansfield. Mansfield, who will serve as creative director of development and digital, will report to PlimSoll USA head Alan Eyres.
According to PlimSoll, the new division “will develop digital formats and explore emerging technologies, look at responsible use for generative AI to empower creatives.”
Mansfield will use the programming archive and library images of the company, including natural history, adventure, documentary and factual entertainment, and work with ITV Studios’ Digital content label ZOO 55 from ITV Studios, who manages the presence of Plimsoll on YouTube and fast channels.
“The unique ability to combine vision, production expertise and fascinating stories makes him the ideal leader to make stories that the audience buoys on different platforms,” said Eires, who made the announcement on Thursday. “His promotion underlines his exceptional leadership and our dedication to embrace new tools and sizes to strengthen authentic stories.”
Mansfield previously served as a creative director of Development at Plimsoll Prods. His credits include “A Real Bug’s Life” (Disney+/National Geographic), “Tiny World” (Apple TV+) and “Animal” (Netflix). Next are “Shark! Famous infected waters” (ITV1) and “Surviving Pompeii with Tom Hiddleston” (Disney +/Nat Geo).

We want to create space for our best-in-class creatives to experiment and to push the boundaries of what we may consider in visual stories.”
Plimsoll Productions recently earned four Emmy’s for ‘A Real Bug’s Life’. In addition to “animal” and “small world”, the other recent credits “The Devil’s Climb” (Disney+/Hulu/National Geographic) and the upcoming “The Child who Faught A Killer” (Sky One) are.
