Philadelphia Eagles Cornerback Cooper DeJean’s brother charged with OWI

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJeanThe club’s brother was reportedly arrested on Sunday, January 11, just hours before the Eagles were set to host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL playoffs.

DeJean’s brother, Beckett DeJeanwas arrested for operating under the influence, according to TMZ Sports. Jail records obtained by the outlet show that Beckett was taken into custody in Iowa on Sunday around 1 a.m. local time. It is his first DUI/OWI offense, which is classified as a misdemeanor.

Beckett, 20, faces fines, a license suspension and possible jail time.

Cooper, 22, has made a name for himself as an efficient cornerback for the reigning Super Bowl champions. He was named NFL All-Pro this year, just his second season in the league.

Thanks in part to Cooper’s stellar defensive play, the Eagles enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed and NFC East division champions with an 11-6 regular-season record.

Philadelphia hosts the 49ers on Sunday at 4:30 PM ET.

“There’s a lot of guys that like to fight and like to play for each other,” Cooper said after the team’s 13-12 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. “Any time you have guys that play for each other and have fun on the field, it makes it easy.”

He had a career-high nine tackles in that game.

Cooper is rumored to be dating a former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia42, although their alleged romance has not been publicly confirmed.

According to an exclusive source, Garcia simply “went to a few games.”

“They’ve been hanging out,” the insider said We weekly of the couple, after Garcia fueled dating speculation with Cooper towards the end of 2025.

Garcia finalized her divorce from Artem Chigvintsevwith whom she shares a 5-year-old son in 2024. The source said a relationship is not currently on her radar.

“She’s having fun and enjoying being single,” the source said, adding that when Garcia isn’t on the road, she’s with her son.

The dating rumors started in the fall of 2025 after Garcia attended an Eagles game and posed next to Cooper’s locker.

“So blessed for the people around me, new friends and old, who make life so special and fun 🤍✨🙏🏼,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Thank you Big Dom @daveophilly @nickyryan @philadelphiaflyers & @livecasinophl for treating me and my crew this weekend!”

Garcia, a longtime Eagles fan, added, “Fly Eagles Fly! Truly THE city of brotherly love! 💚🦅.”

Garcia also posted a photo of herself wearing Cooper’s jersey after a game earlier this year.

The 49ers – the No. 6 seed in the NFC bracket – finished third in a tough NFC West division despite the team’s 12-6 record, sending them through the playoffs.

A first-round matchup against the defending Super Bowl champions is in order for the 49ers.

“I mean, everywhere you go, it always starts with crowd noise,” the 49ers head coach said Kyle Shanahan on Wednesday. “They’ll go. You have to give them a reason to be quiet, otherwise it’s a very challenging place to play.”
