Peyton Manning reveals why he held a Flip telephone until he was 36
NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning Is one of the best Quarterbacks in history, but his technology game away from the field left a lot to be desired.
In an exclusive interview with US WeeklyManning, 49, explained why he could be on the smartphone for as long as possible. “
“I had a Flip telephone until 2012,” said Manning, who produces the History Channel The mega markets that America built. “I was a bit of a dinosaur when I was released by the [Indianapolis] Colts and became an NFL -free agent. “
Manning was released by the Colts in March 2012 after 11 seasons at the franchise and won a super bowl with the team in 2007.
“NFL teams sent me information about their coaching staff, about their selection about their playbooks,” Manning recalled. “I was traveling and tried to find out this new chapter of my life in trying to find out a new team to play ahead.”
He continued: “I had to have an iPhone to be able to download the attachments and see what these teams sent me. I was setting up meetings with teams and talking to them. I had to know a bit about them. If I had the Flip telephone, I would be stuck.”
Manning added: “If I never became a free agent, I would probably still have a Flip telephone.”
The Quarterback signed at the Denver Broncos days after his release, where he would play the last four seasons of his career and would win a super bowl in 2015.

“It started back at school,” Manning explained. “History was one of my favorite topics. Growing up in New Orleans, there was the history of New Orleans and Louisiana. Certainly military and world history. I have taken various bucket list holidays since I stopped playing.”
