Perplexity CEO denies having financial issues, says no IPO before 2028

Bewilderment CEO Aravind Srinivas recently went to Reddit to Tackle the product complaints from users and safely ensure them that the company is not under serious financial pressure.
Srinivas seemed to be partly responding to A user theory That the company “terribly financially” and “makes many changes to save costs.” As an example, pointed to the theoretisator to the automatic mode of Perflexity, where the AI search engine automatically selects the model to answer the prompt from a user.
On the contrary, Srinivas said that PerTlexity has created car mode, because “all AI products are now being sent non-stop and add a lot of buttons and juice menus and junk”, of which he said it is “not sustainable”.
“The user should not learn much to use a product,” he said.
Regarding whether perplexity is confronted with pressure to save costs or IPO, Srinivas said: “We have collected all the financing we have collected and our income is growing alone.” In fact, he said that the company “has no plans to have IP before 2028.”
