‘Percy Jackson’ Casts Andra Day as Athena in Season 2

Andra Day joins the cast of Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” as Athena.

Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, is one of the main Olympian characters in Rick Riordan’s ‘Percy Jackson’ books, as she is the mother of Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy’s (Walker Scobell) close friend and fellow demigod.

News of Day’s casting was announced during a virtual panel at Disney’s D23 Expo in Brazil before being posted on social media. Watch a video of Day addressing “Percy Jackson” fans below.
