Peacock AI-generated Andy Cohen dishes on Bravo Gossip in vertical video

NBCUniversal is betting that a digital replica of Andy Cohen will help drive Peacock users deeper into the “Bravoverse” — and spend more time on the service.

Cohen’s AI-generated version, which will serve tea from new and recent Bravo shows personalized to the user’s tastes, will debut on Peacock’s mobile app in summer 2026. It’s one of many new features NBCU is adding to Peacock. The goal is to differentiate Peacock from other streaming services by adding new “experiences” for fans, such as vertical video, games, including one based on Wolf Entertainment’s “Law & Order” universe, and more.

‘Don’t think about it [Peacock] as a streaming platform – think of it as an entertainment platform,” said Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, during a media briefing this week. The company wants to expand the “reach” of experiences on Peacock so that fans of NBCU’s franchises “don’t have to go elsewhere to get the experiences they love.”

“The best place to watch ‘SNL’ or Bravo would have to be on Peacock,” Strauss said. “But we can add more.”

NBCU describes Your Bravoverse as “a unique AI-powered vertical video experience” led by an AI-generated version of “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen. When they first launch the experience, Peacock users will choose their favorite Bravo shows and “iconic moments,” after which Cohen will narrate a personalized playlist of swipeable video clips culled from more than 5,000 hours of Bravo footage – with more than 600 billion possible viewing variations.

In the app, Peacock labels Cohen’s avatar as AI-generated. When users first launch Your Bravoverse, they will see a video of the real Andy Cohen saying, “Meet my digital twin – an AI version of me.”

Cohen’s avatar was created using UK-based Synthesia technology, trained exclusively on footage recorded at the Synthesia studio, which was used to capture and replicate his likeness and mannerisms. NBCU used other technology to clone his voice. For the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the company debuted an AI-generated version of Al Michaels’ voice to narrate daily summaries; Cohen’s AI version goes one step further by also adding video.

The company promises that Your Bravoverse will “weave complex storylines across seasons and franchises that will help fans relive memorable moments or discover new connections they may have never seen before.” The AI-generated Cohen could also reference a sponsor’s brand as part of the experience, but NBCU says it’s still exploring what this will look like at launch.

“If there’s one thing Bravo fans love, it’s being part of the conversation,” Cohen said in a statement released by NBCU. “Your Bravoverse takes that to the next level by bringing AI into the mix and creating an experience that’s intuitive, interactive, and built entirely around the Bravo fandom. It’s the best of AI and the best of Bravo, allowing fans to discover shows, dive deeper into their favorite moments, and connect with the Bravo universe like never before – all led by me. Well, not exactly me, but a version of me!”

The playlists in Your Bravoverse are refreshed regularly and feature “ongoing insights” from Cohen, according to NBCU. A team of editors will validate the AI’s output and check the playlists “for quality and accuracy,” the company said.

The new feature is aimed at both hardcore Bravo fans and casual viewers. On average, Bravo viewers watch 24 hours of content each month, with some of the most engaged viewers watching up to 75 episodes each month. Since 2024, nearly every returning Bravo series has aired season after season on Peacock, with an average viewership growth of 41%, according to NBCU — underscoring the main reason the media company stuck with Bravo even as it spun off its other cable TV operations into Versant earlier this year.

Your Bravoverse will first be available on mobile as a vertical video experience, later expanding to connected TV devices. It will be prominently featured on the Peacock homepage and will be accessible via a dedicated vertical video space in the mobile app when it launches this summer. At SXSW 2026 in Austin, NBCU will preview Your Bravoverse at NBCUniversal’s “Play with Peacock” pop-up on Sunday, March 15, and attend a keynote with Strauss and Cohen.

Additionally, the Peacock app – after first introducing vertical clips across genres in early 2025 – will launch this spring the ability to watch full live broadcasts of NBA games in vertical format. The feature uses AI to crop live events in real time to track where the action is taking place on the pitch. NBCU says livestreaming games on mobile devices in a vertical 9:16 format is an industry first.

On the gaming front, Peacock will debut two mobile games from Wolf Games this spring, including one based on Wolf Entertainment’s “Law & Order” universe called “Law & Order: Clue Hunter” coming this spring, and an original interactive narrative game called “Public Eye” created by Elliot Wolf launching this summer. And this spring, Peacock will debut a new mobile game for the hit game show “Jeopardy!” These will join existing mobile mini-games for ‘Wheel of Fortune’, ‘Today’ and ‘Prediction Games’ in the app.

Note that Peacock is still losing money: In the fourth quarter of 2025, the streaming service’s operating loss widened to $552 million, up from $372 million in losses in the year-ago period, while Peacock’s revenues rose to $1.6 billion, compared to $1.3 billion a year earlier. Peacock added a net 3 million new paying customers during the period and ended 2025 with 44 million paying subscribers.

In February of this year, the company’s coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy and Super Bowl LIX likely attracted more Peacock subscribers — as NBCU touted record streaming numbers for both events.
