Paul Feig closes the first look deal with Warner Bros. Television

Paul Feig and his Feigco Entertainment Banner have planned a multi-year First-look deal at Warner Bros. Television, Variety has learned.

Feigco is run by Feig and his producing partner, Laura Fischer. According to the conditions of the deal, Feig Script, unwritten and animation projects will develop for all platforms. The news comes not long after it was reported that he had signed a first-look film deal in Lionsgate.

“I have long been a fan of Warner Bros. Television Group because of their very diverse and far-reaching slate of quality of TV programming,” Feig said. “So it is an absolute honor for Laura Fischer and I to join forces with Clancy, Parul and Adrienne to make new and innovative shows to entertain viewers in a time when we all need some escapist dishes. Long live WBVG!”

The most famous TV credit from Feig is cult favorite “Freaks and Geeks”, which he created and for which he earned two Emmy nominations for Best Writing for a Comedy series. Feig also directed more than a dozen episodes of ‘The Office’, and earned himself an Emmy nomination for the best direction for a comedy series. His other TV management credits are ‘arrested development’, ‘nurse jackie’, ‘weeds’, ’30 rock’ and ‘parks and recreation’.

Recently Feig directed the ‘Another Simple Favor’ function, a sequel to his film ‘A Simple Favor’ from 2018. That will fall on Amazon Prime video on 1 May. He has also directed hit films such as “Bridesmaids”, “The Heat” and “Spy”. The next is the film ‘The Housemaid’, which will appear in theaters on December 25
