Paramount appoints Dennis Cinelli, former Uber and Scale AI Exec, as CFO

Paramount Skydance appoints Chief Financial Officer Dennis Cinelli as Chief Financial Officer – his appointment comes as the company is in the midst of a hostile takeover bid for Warner Bros. Discovery sits.
Cinelli, most recently CFO of Scale AI, had joined Paramount’s board of directors in September, shortly after David Ellison’s Skydance Media completed its acquisition of Paramount Global. He will join Paramount Skydance as CFO with effect from January 15, 2026 and as such has resigned from his position on the board of directors.
Cinelli succeeds Andrew Warren, who has been EVP and interim CFO since June 2025. According to Paramount, Warren will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to the company’s senior management.
Paramount also announced the addition of Andrew Campion, chairman and CEO of Unrivaled Sports, as an independent director to the company’s board of directors, effective January 13.
At Scale AI, Cinelli oversaw the company’s rapid revenue growth and strategic fundraising, including an investment from Meta that valued the company at nearly $30 billion. Previously, he was Uber’s head of mobility for the US and Canada, where he played an “instrumental” role in taking the company public, according to Paramount. Before joining Uber, Cinelli was CFO at GE Ventures.
“I have known Dennis for many years and have tremendous respect for his financial acumen and tremendous track record of guiding high-growth technology companies, including GE Ventures, Uber and Scale AI, through periods of scale and transformation,” said David Ellison, chairman and CEO of Paramount, in an announcement of Cinelli’s appointment. “He brings deep expertise in the direct-to-consumer, media and industrial sectors, as well as AI and other disruptive technologies, and will be an excellent addition to our leadership team as we continue to drive growth and innovation.”
Campion, the newest member of Paramount Skydance’s board of directors, had spent 17 years at Nike, where he held senior positions including COO, CFO and head of global strategy. Previously, he spent eleven years at Walt Disney Co., where he was most recently senior VP of Corporate Development. “Andy brings extensive experience building and scaling large, complex organizations, having served as a senior executive and board member for some of the most iconic companies in the world, including Nike, the Walt Disney Company and Starbucks,” said Ellison. “His expertise and strong track record of driving growth, innovation and operational excellence make him an ideal addition to our board of directors, and we look forward to benefiting from his strategic perspective and leadership.”
