Pamela Anderson Responds to Oscars Snub: ‘I Couldn’t Imagine It’

Pamela Anderson weighs in after missing out on an Oscar nomination.

The actress, 57, received widespread praise for her performance in The last showgirl. Still, she was missing in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category when the nominations for the 97th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday, January 23.

“Oh my god, this is not something I ever expected. Despite missing out on an Oscar nod, Anderson was recognized with nominations for The last showgirl at the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“I wish I had started my career a little earlier – gotten some movie roles sooner,” she continued, referring to her Golden Globe-nominated role. “But it was worth the wait.”
