Pam Bondi rages over questions about redaction of Trump’s name in Epstein files

For her part, Bondi insisted that the latest dump of files marked “the end” of the government’s efforts to comply with the law, immediately drawing criticism from Democrats.
Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, claimed the Trump administration was still withholding about half of the files.
“Donald Trump and his Justice Department have now made it clear that they intend to withhold approximately 50 percent of the Epstein files while claiming to have fully complied with the law. This is outrageous and incredibly concerning,” he stated. “The Oversight Committee’s subpoena directs Pam Bondi to release all records to the committee while protecting survivors.”
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer also accused the Justice Department of not being forthcoming with the public.
“DoJ needs to get its story straight,” he said. “They say they’ve collected six million pages, but only admit they’ve released three million. But I checked – even that’s an exaggeration. Less than 2.7 million pages have been released. DOJ thinks it can only complete 300,000 pages, and we won’t notice. We’re wondering what’s on those 300,000 pages, and we’re still waiting to find out where the other three million pages are…”
