Oscars tore for musical acts after learning the performances of nominees of songs
The missing music was not only beaten by viewers – many of the singers themselves shared their disappointment.

She continued: “Everyone likes to hear the songs. You want to hear these artists sing these songs that were an integral part of the films. Music is so important to film, and these songs are very important for the films in which they are.”
Brandi Carlile, who wrote together Never too latedocumentary Elton John: Never too latetold Variety: “I feel really sad because I don’t know if I will ever get the chance to perform on the Oscars again.
“I can’t understand it, especially with Elton John. When I found Elton John for the first time, it was in the 90s and he won an Oscar for The Lion KingAnd I couldn’t believe it.
“So getting the chance to perform with Elton John on the Oscars is difficult not to manifest.”
