Oprah Winfrey responds to why she ‘walked like a 90-year-old’ at PFW

Oprah Winfrey has criticized her controversial appearance at Paris Fashion Week, where she looked unrecognizably thin and appeared to have difficulty walking. RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The former talk show titan, 72, was seen holding a staffer’s arm on the Chloe show, while also taking small, cautious steps as pal Gayle King did the same. Winfrey explained that there was a reason why she acted like a nonagenarian.

“On the Internet, someone was… you know how people drag you onto the Internet. So they dragged me and Gayle and said, ‘Look at them walking like they’re 90 years old,'” Winfrey complained in a clip posted to Instagram by CBS Mornings host Joseph Zambrano’s assistant. He also oversees the Opra magazine Instagram account.

“And so there was a moment where we were walking into the Chloé fashion show and my stylist had just handed me the Chloé sunglasses before I got out of the car,” Winfrey explained of the stylish accessory she wore to the show, noting, “Now I wear glasses, or I wear contact lenses. So those weren’t prescription glasses.”

Winfrey noted, “Now I wear glasses, or I wear contact lenses. So those weren’t prescription glasses. So I didn’t know where I was walking. I couldn’t see!”

She doubled down and said, “So anyone who says ‘you walk like you’re 90,’ I couldn’t see.”

The author of Build the life you want said she needed help from a member of the security team to tell her where she was going so she wouldn’t bump into anything.

Winfrey said King had trouble walking, not because of a vision problem like hers, but thanks to two broken toes.

She said her best friend told her, “I can’t walk” with the injured foot as they made their way through the Paris venue.

“And that’s the reason we looked like we were 90 years old,” Winfrey recalled as the audience erupted in laughter.

Not everyone believed Winfrey’s explanation for her strange walking style at PFW, where she appeared hunched over and took the graceful steps at a separate fashion show where she wasn’t wearing the Chloe sunglasses.

“People don’t bend over when they can’t see, they squint,” one user wrote in the comments.

“I love them both, but Oprah has been bent over backwards for years,” a second fan commented.

A third user complained about Winfrey’s PFW glow-up: “Paris Fashion Week showed a very different, superficial lady who was all about the outside. She sits differently, acts differently. Why can’t she be her ‘old self’ on the inside?” referring to the star’s dramatic weight loss.

Winfrey die-hards, however, loved her explanation.

“Great to be able to laugh about it… but people really need to just shut up and find something else to do. She’s living her best life!” a fourth person cheered.

Winfrey’s dramatic makeover for PFW surprised many fans, claiming she looked “unrecognizable” with her fashionable looks and slim figure. She previously admitted that she took a GLP-1 to lose more than 50 pounds.

The color purple star loved every minute of her time in France.

“Fashion. Friendship. Food. And the simple joy of feeling comfortable. Thank you, Paris, for an amazing week,” she wrote on Instagram. carousel with photos and videos of her journey.
