OpenAI plans to open an office in Germany

OpenAI is expanding its footprint to Germany. According to a press release The Chatgpt Maker was published on Friday and is planning to open an office in Munich in the coming months.

“Germany is known for its technical expertise, academic excellence and industrial innovation,” said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAi in a statement. “Opening of our first office in Germany means that we can help even more people, companies and institutions of the possibilities of AI.”

According to the press release, OpenAi has opened a German satellite office with German officials since 2023. In Europe, Germany has the largest number of users, paying subscribers and API developers who build on the Technology of OpenAI, according to the startup.

A spokesperson for OpenAi told WAN via e-mail that will hire the office for Go-to-To-Market, global affairs and communication roles to start. They refused to share details about the number of roles.

The new house of OpenAi in southern Germany will be opened after the company established in San Francisco has opened offices in Paris, Brussels and Dublin, and to grow its EU presence.
