‘One piece’ renewed for season 3, Netflix Drops First-look in season 2

“One Piece” is sailing again, with the live-action adjustment of the beloved Manga and Anime series that gets an early season 3-renewal at Netflix.

The news came from the annual celebration of one piece day on Tokyo, where it was also revealed that Ian Stokes would join Joe Tracz as a co-show runner in season 3. Stokes was previously a co-executive producer in season 1. Production starts later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.

“One piece” season 2 does not have a premiere date, but this is planned to return to Netflix in 2026. The streamer has also released various first look images from the new season, which can be seen below.

Officially entitled “One piece: Into the Grand Line”, says the official description for season 2:

“Netflix’s epic high-season pirate adventure, ‘One Piece’, returns for season 2-the sheets of fiercer opponents and the most dangerous quests to date. Luffy and the straw hats sail to the extraordinary Grand Line-a legendary piece of the Wereldwijk.

Iñaki Godoy plays as Luffy. The cast also includes Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Extra Cast members are Vincent Regan, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Langey Kirkwood, Jeff Ward, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, McKinley Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward and Chioma Umeala. Season 2 will introduce various new cast members, including David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Neftari Cobra and Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0.

Netflix’s “One Piece” has completed a number of show runner changes for three seasons. The show was originally developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda. They served as co-show runners in season 1, but Maeda went and went to season 2, with Tracz became a co-showrunner. But then Owens also announced his departure from the series after work in season 2.

The Netflix show was founded in collaboration with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix. Owens and Tracz are writers, executive producers and co-show runners in season 2. “One piece” Maker Eiichiro Oda also performs executive together with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements via Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Maeda.
