Olympian Chloe Kim gushes about ‘best’ friend Myles Garrett

Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim and Cleveland Browns football star Myles Garrett are each other’s fiercest cheerleaders.

“As an athlete, like herself, she is unapologetically herself and always has a smile on her face,” Garrett said. NBC Chicago in February 2026. “She loves doing what she does, and you can kind of see her style and attitude, her personality [in] the way she performs, and it’s beautiful to watch.”

He continued, “It was extremely fun to see in person. She just goes out there and does it, and I think that’s what you have to do as an athlete. You can’t hesitate, you can’t give 90 percent. When it’s time for her to get into that mode, she gives 100 percent.” [and] she gives it her all and you see the results become visible.”

Garrett even traveled across the world to watch Kim compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, where she qualified for the women’s snowboard halfpipe event.

“We both support each other so much,” Garrett said People in February 2026 days before traveling to the Games. “She’s always texting, she’s always calling to see how I’m doing throughout the year and I’m doing the same thing now, checking on her, seeing how she’s feeling, emotionally and physically.”

May 2025

Chloe Kim and Myles Garrett walked the red carpet at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo. Although neither athlete spoke about their relationship status at the time, Kim visited Garrett at his NFL training camp three months later in August.

September 2025

Chloe Kim has seemingly kicked off her romance in a soft way by uploading a photo of Myles Garrett’s back to her Instagram page in a collection of photos from a fishing trip.

November 2025

Chloe Kim made her NFL debut at one of Myles Garrett’s NFL games and kissed him on the sidelines.

“I have makeup on your jersey,” Kim joked on the sidelines before kickoff. “Success.”

Garrett responded, “Thanks, honey,” before leaving to rejoin his Cleveland Browns teammates on the field.

Weeks later, Kim made a rare comment about her boyfriend and their shared hobbies.

“What came first was probably my love for snowboarding, but my love for video games came very shortly after,” Kim said People later in November. “Luckily all my friends are nerds, so we all like to play video games together. … Even my boyfriend is so good at video games, so it’s just fun.”

February 2026

Myles Garrett attended the 2026 Super Bowl Weekend solo, where he won Defensive Player of the Year at the annual NFL Honors ceremony.

“It’s so competitive. When we’re doing our sport, even when we’re playing matches against each other,” he said People of dating a fellow professional athlete. ‘I’m more romantic than she is [and I’m] I just try to be her rock, because she is mine all year round.”

After Super Bowl LX, Garrett traveled from San Francisco, California, to Milan, Italy, to support Chloe Kim at the 2026 Winter Olympics. During Kim’s snowboarding sessions, Garrett was seen wearing custom merchandise on his girlfriend’s face. They also celebrated after each of her attempts.

“I scolded him for not bringing the sunscreen I bought him,” Kim jokingly wrote via her Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of herself resting on Garrett’s chin.

After the footballer came to Milan to support Kim, the snowboarder talked about what a great partner he is.

“He really is my best friend, he’s the best. I’m so grateful for him for so many reasons,” she said Access to Hollywood at the time. “Despite his busy life and schedule, he is always there for me and I try to do the same for him.”

Kim added that she and Garrett complement each other perfectly.

“I didn’t think we would have so much in common,” she explained. “We spend our free time the same way. We like to just chill and watch anime. We like to play the same games. We like to eat the same food. It’s such a funny thing. And I’m so grateful and lucky that I met him.”
