Note for Cleopatra’s grave could have been found after 20 years of searching

Cleopatra has become a pop culture icon since the Victorian era. She has been the subject of many works, including operas, paintings, poetry, sculptures and theatrical dramas.

The goddess was played famous by film legend Elizabeth Taylor in the Self-title Epic from 1958 Cleopatra.

Martínez believes that Cleopatra was brought to Taposiris Magna after her death and was then brought by an underground tunnel to the direction of the harbor. She was finally laid there to rest.

However, the Explorer also admits that the grave can be somewhere between the ruins of the temple itself. This has long been the assumption of the locals in the area and other excavators.

Anyway, and everywhere where Cleopatra can be buried, after a search of 20 years, Martinez has no plans to draw a store until she finds the final answer.

“Nobody can tell me that Cleopatra is not in Taposiris Magna,” she said emphatically. “To say that you have to dig up the entire area and not find her.”
