Northstarms says no to delayed marketing -free offers

Nar has made Mlos and delayed marketing lists – those lists that have been introduced in the MLS, but remember for a certain period of IDX FEEDS and syndication – due to pushback about the clear cooperation policy (CCP). But Nar gave MLSS the opportunity to choose how they will implement the new list option.
By one Blog post On the website of Northstarmls this means that there is no change, because the current systems of the MLS sellers already offer options that meet the policy of NAR.
“We will continue to rely on these existing tools and statuses to offer multiple options for offering brokers who work with sellers, while retaining transparency and simplicity for our subscribers,” the blog post said.
The MLS states that it is not necessary to perform the provision and say that it would be a bad service for its subscribers, because it could cause an increased confusion for agents and brokers. Moreover, it can create the potential for superfluous or overlapping frame statuses, extra operational obstacles and a lack of clear communication with customers about where their entries appear online.
“The current active status of Northstarmls supports all the spirit of the policy of Nar, so that sellers can unsubscribe from IDX and syndication at the edge level, while there is certain that offers are available for cooperation within the MLS. Our system brings seller preferences in balance with the need for a transparent, consumer-friendly market,” the post-states.
Northstarms states that the delayed marketing option “runs the risk of creating information silos and reducing the accessibility of the list that is contrary to our mission to provide accurate, reliable data to all participants.”
“We believe that it is time to concentrate on enabling our subscribers to serve their customers effectively, not on implementing complex rules that add little value,” the post says. “Northstarmls will continue to follow the development of the industry and offer updates if necessary.”
In April, California Regional MLS (CRMLS), the largest MLS in the country, said it would not implement delayed marketing -free offers. And last week, Compass said it would no longer adhere to CCP.
