Nikki Garcia Responds to ‘John Cena Left You’ Chants on WWE ‘Raw’
Nikki Garcia responds to fans who taunt her over her past relationship with Johannes Cena on the latest episode of WWE’s Monday evening Raw.
On Monday November 10th episode of Raw on Netflix, Nikki, 41, attacked recent ally Stephanie Vaquerturning heel again (wrestling parlance for a “bad guy”). The fans in Cena’s hometown of Boston reacted brutally, chanting, “John Cena left you.”
Nikki – who wrestles under the name Nikki Bella – shared her thoughts on the vitriol she faces online from wrestling fans during a conversation with twin sister Brie Garcia on Thursday, November 13 episode of their “Nikki & Brie Show” podcast.
“The hate is so gross… even some of the chants I got [on Raw],” Nikki said, while Brie, also 41, noted that she “didn’t like” the chants she heard.

“Honestly, I guess [the chants] I got picked up more on TV,” Nikki said. “Or I was just too in my moment where I didn’t even know, I didn’t even hear, to tell you the truth.”
Nikki went on to say that “it’s really nice” that “people have that credibility” in wrestling, like WWE stars Big Ehave sung her praises on her recent return.
“Because I’ve known for so long, people say, ‘I don’t want the trolls coming at me online,’ so people never really did that [defend me]she said.
“It’s nice to have these credible people making their voices heard. Because at the end of the day, they all know how much I love this business, how much passion I have for wrestling,” Nikki continued. “They know the work I put in. It’s not like I come here and always say, ‘Oh, when I had two days off, when I didn’t have my son, I flew to Orlando to be in the ring for five hours and flew right back.’ You know, I don’t talk about all that stuff all the time, but the people who know, know. I really love this company and I want to give it my all.”
Nikki dated Cena, 48, from 2012 until 2018, when the couple ended their engagement. “Although this decision was difficult, we still have a lot of love and respect for each other,” the couple said. Nikki continued Dancing with the stars pro Artem Chigvintsevwith whom she shares son Matteo, 5.

“Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court,” Nikki’s rep said in a statement to Us in November 2024. “Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively co-parent their son.”
