Nicole Kidman’s deal with Balenciaga ‘hangs’ after clash with Salma
Nicole Kidman could lose her role as brand ambassador at Balenciaga following her recent feud with Salma Hayek.

Kidman’s link to Balenciaga could be influenced by Hayek’s husband owning the brand following the actress’ tense meeting last month.
A now-viral moment from Paris Fashion Week hit the airwaves on Sunday and showed Kidman and Hayek having a red carpet run as they attended the brand’s runway show.
The two stood in front of photographers with singer Katy Perry, where an altercation apparently took place when Hayek, 58, touched Kidman, 57, when he was asked to pose together.

Pinault took over as CEO of Kering, which owns several fashion brands, in 2005.

The tiff, which you can watch in the clip below, showed the Australian actress walking away as Hayek seemed uncomfortable about the situation.

Some have pointed out the connection between Hayek’s husband, owner of Balenciaga, and the Moulin Rouge star as an ambassador for the brand.
The French businessman is the CEO of Kering, a company founded by his father, who first gained recognition in the timber industry before acquiring a stake in the Gucci Group in 1999.

Pinault took over as CEO of Kering in 2005 at the age of 40.
In addition to Balenciaga, the luxury goods company also owns Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen.

A viral video from Paris Fashion Week showed Kidman and Hayek having an awkward argument on the red carpet.

Fashion commentator Louis Pisano wrote on

Others defended Kidman and believed she was “just not feeling the moment,” noting that the actress had just lost her mother the month before.

Professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman recently transcribed the moment to Page Six, believing Hayek first said to Kidman, “Let’s go there, okay, here.”
He said Kidman then responded, “Hey, I’m fine, I’m fine. There, it’s enough, it’s okay.”

Kidman and Hayek both stayed quiet during the BDSM-themed photo shoot, which had many fans scrambling Big little lies star to speak out, RadarOnline.com revealed at the time.
One critic even asked how she could “stand proudly for this brand as a mother.”
Kidman continues to receive similar responses to her posts about Balenciaga, with a June post receiving negative attention about the actress’ continued support for the company.
Balenciaga eventually sued North Six, Inc. and set designer Nicholas Des Jardins, the campaign’s creators, for $25 million after facing backlash over the campaign.
