Trump appeared at a press conference to discuss the Venezuelan strike and while he had relevant information to share, some who watched the broadcast commented on the fact that he reportedly slurred his words.

“Slurping and Rumbling: Diplomacy or Late Night Talk Show?” one social media user asked.

“He can’t hold his place in his written speech, repeats himself and looks like he’s going to fall over,” said another. Another added: “Slurping and sniffling, must be over ‘sleepy time!’ his,” while another wrote, “He sounds like he’s close to the light. I can’t even understand what he’s saying. If I hear ‘like you’ve never seen before’ one more time…”

During the press conference, Trump was also criticized for allegedly falling asleep.

“He literally falls asleep standing there behind the general. He keeps waking up to someone yelling in his earpiece,” one viewer noted.

“Trump is about to go back to sleep. This time standing. Something is very wrong,” another claimed.

Before his press conference, Trump had confirmed news of the strike, writing on Truth Social: “The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been captured and flown out of the country along with his wife.”
