Nicki Minaj risks losing her $20 million Hidden Hills home after $500,000 lawsuit against security guard

Rapper Nicki Minaj is reportedly at risk of losing her sprawling California mansion worth $20 million — after reportedly refusing to pay $503,000 awarded to a security guard who claims he was assaulted by the musician’s husband, Kenneth Petty.

According to legal documents obtained by We weeklyguard Thomas Weidenmüller has asked a court to force the sale of Minaj’s Hidden Hills home so he can claim the money he is owed.

Weidenmuller, who worked as a security guard at one of the 42-year-old Minaj shows in Germany in 2019, accused Petty of punching him in the face during the event and was later awarded more than half a million dollars in damages by a judge.

However, he claims no money has yet been paid to him – a mistake Minaj, 42, has since blamed on one of her financial advisers.

So on Oct. 6, Weidenmuller filed legal papers asking the court to order Minaj to sell her 11-bedroom, 16-bathroom home in Hidden Hills, which she bought for $19.5 million in December 2022.

In his filing, the security guard noted that the home’s $20 million value would cover Minaj and Petty’s outstanding mortgage, as well as the money he owes.

Weidenmuller’s legal team stated that the star has a $13.3 million mortgage on the property and a “discharge of $722,151 – a combined just under $14 million.”

“The current fair market value of the property is estimated at $20 million, providing approximately $6 million in equity in addition to the lien and relief,” the filing notes. “That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus the accrued interest and execution costs.”

Lawyers for the former security guard drew attention to Minaj’s extraordinary net worth and emphasized that she is more than “capable” of paying him the damages he owes.

“While it is unfortunate that the extraordinary measure to force the sale of Minaj’s home is necessary, that outcome is entirely the product of her intransigence in not paying,” they stated.

“Minaj is a global music superstar, with an estimated net worth of somewhere between $150 [million and] $190 million, and is reportedly the highest-paid female rap star in the world.

“There is little doubt that she is fully capable of paying the judgment in full, and yet she has refused to do so, despite multiple written requests for payment and levies served on several of her alleged creditors.”

Minaj handled the legal filing on

“I have proof that this was given to a company [manager] who never told me,” she wrote. “My lawyers AND business [managers] (old & new) are CONSCIOUS. Let’s see if they’ll say anything or if I should call them by name. That same company [manager] STOLE from me MANY times.”

The latest legal snaffle stems from an incident on March 22, 2019, when Weidenmuller says he was physically attacked by Petty and verbally abused by Minaj after a fan broke through a barrier and stormed onto the stage during the rapper’s performance.

The rapper reportedly became angry with the security team and told her husband about the incident.

Weidenmuller said he entered Minaj’s dressing room in an attempt to comfort her, and was reportedly greeted by the “Starships” rapper, her husband and two other security guards.

He claimed he started to comfort a crying Minaj, but she started yelling at him. He further claimed she threw her shoe at him before her husband punched him in the jaw ‘without warning’.

The guard was then taken to the doctor where he had to undergo jaw surgery.

Minaj’s massive Hidden Hills abode currently serves as her primary residence.

The expansive home features eight bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a resort-style pool, a cabana, a terrace with sweeping hillside views and a separate guesthouse.

The house covers 12,000 square meters and is located in a wealthy neighborhood, where several stars live.

Minaj previously rented a $28,000 monthly home in Calabasas in 2020. She also previously rented an apartment in Beverly Hills for $35,000 a month.

Minaj also once owned a $10 million, 7,000-square-foot home with six bedrooms. It was her primary residence before she picked up her home in Hidden Hills.
