Nick Reiner ‘On Verge of Tears’ and debuts new look in court

“We feel we have no choice at this time but to withdraw as counsel and seek relief,” Jackson told McGonigle when he filed his motion to vacate the case.

“The public defender’s office has been notified. We’ve had conversations with them. They’re here, they’re staffed up, they’re ready to take over,” he added of Nick’s new defense team.

Outside court, Jackson said he “unfortunately” had to withdraw due to “circumstances beyond our control, and more importantly, circumstances beyond Nick’s control.”

Jackson, who won the acquittal for accused police killer Karen Read in June, said ethical reasons prevented him from saying exactly why he would no longer represent Nick.

“My team and I remain deeply, deeply committed to Nick Reiner and to his interests. In fact, we know – not just believe – that the legal process will reveal the true facts of the circumstances surrounding this case,” the Legal Eagle stated.
