NH Collection debuts in Tanzania with Pemba Island Resort | News
Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor with more than 640 properties in 59 countries, has announced the signing of the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania.
Developed in ongoing collaboration with Infinity Developments, the owner behind Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences – an ultra-luxury project currently under construction – the new signing reinforces a shared commitment to raising hospitality standards across the region. The new property, expected to open in February 2030, marks a strategic expansion of the NH Collection brand into the Zanzibar Archipelago and further strengthens Minor Hotels’ growing presence in East Africa.
The 145-storey resort is a short drive from Pemba Airport and offers easy access from both Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, whilst maintaining the exclusive, low-impact tourist character of the island. NH Collection Pemba Island Resort will feature a selection of rooms, suites and villas, complemented by numerous dining options and MICE facilities. The resort will combine modern design with the island’s natural environment to create a sophisticated yet relaxing retreat for holidaymakers.
