Newport Beach TV Fest announces the first event in June

The long-term Newport Beach Film Fest will launch a TV contrary in June. The org revealed on Wednesday that it will hold the inaugural Newport Beach TV Fest from 5 June to 8 June in the Lido Theater and the Port Theater in Newport Beach, California. The four -day event promises a “celebration of television art and creative performance” that brings together “professionals and public in the industry for a unique celebrity of established and emerging talent, network, and streaming.”

Timing of the Newport Beach TV Fest is strategic to beat just before the Emmy Nomination voting, and while FYC events are completing. According to the festival, it is planning to “attract the largest meeting of Guild and Television Academy voters outside of Los Angeles of New York” and “Honor Creativity in Television, while offering a platform for innovative stories for a dynamic audience.”

Events and programs during the Newport Beach TV Fest include TV Awards Showcase: Comedy & Drama, an unwritten spotlight, Cast-Runies, Fan-favorite impressions and a showrunners panel.

In recent years, the Newport Beach Film Festival has been branched to honor TV talent, including an Icon Award for Eugene Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”) and an artist or distinction award for Sheryl Lee Ralph (“Abbott Elementary”). Others have been recorded “St. Denis Medical” Stars David Alan Grier and Wendi McClendon-Covey, who have received the excellent performance in comedy, as well as a similar price for Jane Lynch (“only murders in the building”). Ewan McGregor (“A Gentleman in Moscow”) received a prize in television, while “Old Treight” -Displaying.

Former TV academy chair/CEO Bryce Zabel and wife Jackie Zabel have become members of the Newport Beach TV Fest. The Zables created the Limited series “Pandemic”, which earned them a WGA price and also the producers of the WWII play film “The Last Battle”. The credits of Bryce Zabel include creating five primetime hours of dramas.
