Comfort Inn & Suites Orlando Sanford Airport opens directly across from Orlando Sanford International Airport. The four-story hotel is owned by AirSan Investments LLC, an ownership entity of the Hickman family.
The hotel is designed to meet the daily rhythm of airport travel while supporting the broader mix of group and regional demand in the Sanford and Central Florida region.
“The family decided to build the Comfort Inn & Suites to meet a need in the Sanford Airport and Boombah Sports Complex market,” said André Hickman, owner representative of AirSan Investments LLC. “Before this new hotel, it was difficult for sports teams and groups to find accommodations. This property was designed and built to provide our guests with a peaceful, relaxing stay. We have included an oversized swimming pool, a large cabana and a BBQ and seating area. We look forward to guests enjoying the property and our staff.”
The hotel was designed by FK Architecture and developed and built by Lamm & Company Partners in collaboration with the owner. A concrete plank structure was used to support noise reduction, an important feature for an airport-adjacent site.
Inside, the design emphasizes clarity and functionality. Large windows provide natural light to the primary gathering areas. Floors in the public areas support a sleek, modern look and keep up with the pace of busy travel days. The lighting is modern and subdued, complementing the clean lines of the communal areas. The breakfast area is organized around an island style that supports a steady morning flow, and the property features a dedicated meeting room suitable for small business sessions and team briefings.
This opening represents the second hotel partnership between the Hickman family and Newport Hospitality Group, which also manages Comfort Inn & Suites Sanford North. The relationship reflects aligned standards and a shared focus on execution.
Newport Hospitality Group was involved in ownership during pre-opening development and preparation, supporting purchasing decisions, staff alignment, sales positioning, commercial strategy and operational readiness prior to launch.

In addition to airport traffic, the hotel (which offers a complimentary shuttle to the terminal) also serves group businesses connected to the Boombah Sports Complex and cruise travelers using Go Port transportation connections to Port Canaveral. The location also puts guests within easy reach of historic downtown Sanford and the Lake Monroe waterfront, where a walkable Main Street, marina access and a growing collection of independent dining and local hangouts give the area a distinct character in Central Florida.
