Netflix uses interactive reality series ‘House of Streams’

Netflix delves deeper into the reality room with ‘House of Streams’, an interactive series that traditional non -described television merges with the world of online content creation.

The series will contain eight popular streamers and content makers who live together in a villa for two weeks, because they compete for a Bitcoin Grand Prize, which is currently worth $ 108,800. Sports and entertainment presenter Nicole Holliday, known for organizing large EA FIFA streaming tournaments and her work with Sky Sports, will organize the show.

The series has a fully interactive format with a live chat function with which viewers can handle participants directly.

“We have held several rounds of casting sessions with streamers from all over the world for two months,” said Mark Holland, maker and director of the series. “We screened every applicant and interviewed the first round of casting and only invited 13 for the second round. 12 were selected and after the third round we selected 8 and one streamer as a backup.”

The eight participants have a combined social media after more than 4 million on different platforms, which represent different areas, including the US, the UK and Australia. They will be confronted with various challenges and competition activities, while viewers participate in real -time decision -making.

The project is produced by Stream House Media Productions (shrimp) with support from the Malta Film Commission. Camelot films facilitated the Netflix deal and uses promotion, with producer Luke Croft-FaulKnerer leading marketing efforts.

“House of Streams” is exactly what the entertainment industry needs at the moment, “said Matt Hookings, founder, producer and CEO of Camelot films. “A fresh, original concept born from the vision of an independent director/producer who is fully committed to bringing it to life. While online streamer’s influence and celebrity define,” House of Streams “marks a crucial step in how public content consumes content.”
