Netflix to transport TF1 channels in France after ‘first-in-in-species’ deal

From the summer of 2026, Netflix subscribers in France can view TF1 channels on the streaming platform.

The historic deal-described as a “new type of partnership” of Netflix-Zal The live channels of TF1 Group and On-Demand content are available for Netflix members in France as part of their existing subscription. The streamer praised the opportunity to view shows broadcast on TF1 such as “Broceliandde” and “The Voice” “without ever leaving the service.”

Financial details have not been revealed, but the TF1 deal could prove a litmus test before comparable regulations worldwide, because Netflix strengthens its strength about traditional broadcasters and becomes a one-stop shop for the TV audience.

The deal was announced in France on the Cannes Lions Advertising Conference, in which Peters mainly fly in.
