Netflix, brutal media that adjust ‘El Mapa de Los Anhelos’ as a mini series
Netflix has announced its upcoming adjustment of ‘El Mapa de Los Anhelos’, the highly acclaimed novel by the Spanish author Alice Kellen, originally published by editorial Planeta.
The story will be brought to the screen as a mini series written by Isa Sánchez (“When no one sees us”) and produced by the Spanish partner equipment of the BBC Brutal Media, which demonstrates a constant interest in the Spanish media landscape by the British broadcaster by the British broadcaster. Previous brutal media titles include “Bank Under Siege” and “Welcome to Eden.”
The mini series tells the moving story of Greta, a young woman who believes that her only goal is to save her sister Lucy from leukemia by donating her stem cells. However, when Lucy dies, Greta remains shattered and directionless. Before her death, Lucy creates ‘El Mapa de Los Anhelos’, a sincere game that encourages Greta to confront her grief and discover her own path. Along the way she meets Will, a mysterious young man chased by his own past. The series investigates themes of loss, healing and whether we can really love someone else without first loving ourselves.
