“I can’t open my messages without seeing anything cruel,” Furtado would have trusted in friends. “It has become a daily event since I publicly embraced my curves. I had to limit my time online for my own peace.”

Furtado also said behind closed doors that she wanted her messages about self -love, not an invitation to unsolicited comments about her body.

In a now viral post, Furtado wrote: “This year I became aware of the aesthetic pressure of my work in a brand new way, while at the same time I experienced new levels of self -love and real confidence from within.”

She emphasized that she had never had face or body operations or augmentations, apart from dental veneer, and trusted beauty routines, styling tricks and makeup at Old-school to reach certain looks.

Good friends say that the star is so shocked by Fat-Shaming trolls that she wants to take legal steps against people who focus on her.

“She has always been fiercely protective against her image,” claimed a source. “But this is the first time she has to deal with this kind of targeted intimidation every day.”

Fans had initially flooded her Instagram with praise and celebrated her as a “refreshing” and “real” representation of women in the forty.

Reactions greeted her Portuguese heritage and “Venus Goddess” bends. But in addition to the praise, Furtado describes as ‘deep personal and tiring’.

She said: “I now have more fun with my style! It’s strange. I always knew that I would have a glow-up in the forty, and I did!”
